Our global asset base delivers sustainable growth and stability

We are a global energy company, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with a footprint spanning four continents. Our name TAQA means ‘energy’ in Arabic.

Our vision is to deliver ‘Energy for Growth’: growth within our business; social and economic progress in the communities in which we operate; and increased value for our shareholders. We aim to run our company not only profitably but also sustainably, operating to the highest ethical standards.

TAQA is proud to align its strategy both domestically and globally to Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030, a roadmap to support the development of a sustainable economy with a greater focus on knowledge-based industries (see Economic Vision). To this end, in early 2012, we complemented our existing business with TAQA Energy Solutions, our operation dedicated to alternative and high-tech energy initiatives for long-term efficient energy production and generation. We are also working to establish TAQA as a technology and innovation-driven organisation.

Our historic interests lie in power generation, water desalination, oil and gas exploration and production, pipelines and gas storage. We operate in 11 countries: Canada, Ghana, India, Iraq, Morocco, the Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.
