The Board comprises a minimum of four and a maximum of nine Directors to be elected by the shareholders. Each Director is appointed for a term of three years and, upon the expiration of that period, the Board may be reconstituted.
H.E. Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajeri was elected Chairman of the Board in 2014 and has served on the Board of TAQA as a Member since 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College in the United States, is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and attended the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. He has more than 19 years’ experience in international finance. He was elected by the World Economic Forum in 2007 as one of the top 250 Young Global Leaders for his contribution to the public and financial sectors in the United Arab Emirates. He is currently Executive Director, Information Technology Department at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). In addition, His Excellency is a Governor of the Board of CFA Institute and a member of the Executive Advisory Board of MSCI Barra. He also serves on the boards of various other Abu Dhabi and UAE government entities.
H.E. Salem Sultan Al-Dhaheri was elected to the Board in 2011. He is currently Deputy Director at ADIA, having held various positions since joining the authority in 1993. A Certified Public Accountant since 1994, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Audit Committee of several public and private companies. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Leadership and Management in the United Kingdom.
H.E. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Al-Hemaidi was elected to the Board in 2011. He is a Civil Engineering graduate from UAE University who joined Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) in 1997. He held a number of key positions in the Authority including Managing Director at Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company and Abu Dhabi Distribution Company. He is currently Advisor at Al Ain Distribution Company. Before joining ADWEA, he held key positions at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, Al Ain International Airport and the Privatisation Committee for Water and Electricity Sector of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
H.E. Mohamed Butti Khalfan Al Qubaisi was elected to the Board in 2014. He is Director of Exploration and Production at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and has worked at the company for more than three decades. He serves as Chairman of ZADCO and NDC, and Member of the Board of ADCO, ADMA-APCO, and Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
H.E. Khaled Abdulla Al Mass was elected to the Board in 2014. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Imass Investment. He is also a Member of the Board of the National Health Insurance Company, Assistant Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Company, and Director-General of the Abu Dhabi National Foodstuff Company (Foodco). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the United States.
Mr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohammed Al Mehairi was elected to the Board in 2014. He is Senior Investment Professional at Abu Dhabi Investment Council and a Member of the Board of ALDAR Properties and Vice Chairman of Foodco Holding PJSC. From 2005 to 2008, he worked as Investment Analyst at the Department of the Far-East at ADIA. Previously, he was a Member of the Board of Sorouh Real Estate and Aseel Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in Canada.
H.E. Mohammed Abdulrahman Bandooq Mohammed Al Qamzi was elected to the Board in 2014. He is Director of Research and Business Development at International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC). Prior to joining IPIC in 2011, he worked at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), Qatar Abu Dhabi Investment Company and Oasis International Energy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from California State University.
