“Being part of an asset development team looking after a group of fields means that you’re involved at all levels and all aspects of those fields during their development and production life. My job opened up a whole new world of the business that I had to consider. And it’s all fascinating. You become 100% immersed in it.
You’re brought in with a particular set of skills for a job, and you’re given the freedom to get on with it as you see fit. Here you’re working as a team where each person plays a very important role and you’re accountable for your own work. And although we have a very firm peer-review process, there’s nobody standing over you checking every five minutes. It’s a healthier and more rewarding approach. We’re trusted, and that makes for a more productive working environment.”
